We believe that body piercing doesn't have to be scary, and we also believe that proper aftercare is probably the most crucial part of a successful piercing. That is why we are providing you with these detailed instructions specific for your piercing rather than general aftercare instructions. Also, we provide free consultation for any questions or concerns that you may have.

How to care for your ear piercing:

Since ear lobe piercings are so common, there is a misconception that these piercings are easy to heal and require little care. Actually, ear lobe piercings require very diligent cleaning and care in order to prevent infection. The ear lobe is a great environment for bacterial growth. Therefore, proper cleaning is absolutely essential.

1) DO NOT REMOVE STUDS during the first 4 to 6 weeks. for the first 6 months do not go longer then 24 hours with out wearing studs.

2) At least once daily preferably before bathing, apply a generous amount of ear car gel to the front and back of the newly pierced hole.

3) Gently slide the stud back and forth several times to work the gel in to the pierced hole.

4) Rinse well with clean water.

5) Before bathing, apply ear care gel. be sure all soap, shampoo, ect. is completely rinsed from the earlobe.

Things to Watch Out For:

Pain, redness or swelling is not a normal result of ear piercing. this condition could indicate an allergic reaction to the jewelry, or that your body can not tolerate a foreign objects in the skin. Should this condition occur, remove earrings immediately and see your physicians at once.

ALWAYS consult a physician if you have any of the symptoms above. Although our piercers will gladly answer any questions about your piercing, we are NOT a substitute for a health care professional!

Healing times

6 months - 1 year.

However, if the piercing is healing well you can usually change the jewelry in 6 to 8 weeks as long as you replace the jewelry immediately after removing the original piece.

Helpful Hints

Remember that your piercing is an open wound and as such requires special care. The following suggestions will help your piercing to heal properly.

DO NOT touch your piercing unless your hands have just been washed thoroughly with antibacterial soap.

DO NOT dry your piercing with cloth towels which harbor bacteria. Either allow it to air dry or use disposable paper towels.

DO NOT use petroleum based cleaning products such as alcohol, peroxide, or Neosporin. Alcohol and peroxide are too harsh, and Neosporin does not allow air to the piercing.

Change your clothing and sheets regularly.

Get enough sleep, eat a nutritious diet, avoid undue stress, recreational drugs, and alcohol consumption. The healthier your lifestyle, the easier it will be for your piercing to heal.

Drink plenty of fluids. Try to consume 8 cups of water per day.
